Maple Kitchen Cabinets With Copper Panels

This kitchen remodel occurred in early winter of 2007. The clients chose American Beech as the lumber of choice due to its ability to frame the copper panels dramatically while offering a warm, pleasing grain pattern and color. The beech door and drawer pulls are reminiscent of the Heywood Wakefield style and impart an odd retro-modern touch that worked out well. The copper features a cold process verdigris patina utilizing saw shavings that permanently bond with the copper producing a stunning textured three dimensional panel.
